Product Warranty
Covers panel & workmanship defects and promises superior quality for at least 25 years. However, customers can purchase a 25-year extended warranty from the manufacturer.
Performance Warranty
To perform exactly as expected to – every year for 25 years Meaning over 25 years it will only degrade on performance 0.25% per year and will be performing 92% of its nameplate power at year 25.
Labor Warranty
Unique to the REC ProTrust Warranty, this gives added protection in the unlikely event that a REC panel needs to be serviced. Not offered by both Q-Cell and Aptos.
Installation Warranty
We ensure a 25-year installation warranty on all panels we install, covering parts and labor when installed by us.

Q-Cells have a higher degradation of their product over the 25-year span
- 0.50% over 1 year (vs. our REC at 0.25%)
- means it’ll be performing at 85.1 at age 25
Major Difference:
- No labor is covered in a warranty. It’s not impossible that the panels need to be replaced or serviced and this isn’t covered with Q-Cells
Similar Warranty (with a catch)
Also similar to REC alpha Pure solar, their warranty for the product and performance isn’t quite the same as ours (REC Alpha Pure).
- 12-year product warranty
- 25-year linear warranty (however this warranty doesn’t quite explain what this entails when problems arise for the product)
Temperature Coefficient difference
While it’s similar to REC Alpha Pure solar, the difference is at Q-Cells −0.34%, 109°F ± 5.4°F, they begin to falter and reduce its output for your home. The higher that number (0.34%) is, we see larger amounts of solar power lost.
With REC Solar, not only is it able to hit -0.26% 111.2°F ± 3.6°F, but it has a lower ± at 3.6°F. Less deviation and maintain the quality of power longer for your home.
Aptos DNA-120

Similar case with the Q-Cells here (higher degradation over the course of 25 years of the product)

Aptos only intends to offer customers with a
- 15-year warranty
- Customers can purchase an additional 25-year warranty for an additional cost
